I have been looking at different performance options and it seems that the absolute best thing for performance without tearing apart your motor is a suoercharger. But after looking around I found what should add around 100 to 120 hp and would be all motor meaning no losing power after boost. It is a head and cam package i found on http://www.rpmoutlet.com/. What do you guys think? I think it would be close to s/c f-150's and with spray would be really bad ***. Has anyone on here done this? If I were to get this it would save me a couple grand over the s/c option!
It all depends on how much money you want to spend. The heads are a great way to get power, you just have to be careful when selecting a cam. Get a cam that's too aggressive and your driveability and longevity will suffer. Adding a supercharger is a easy way to add hp, but you can't put too much boost on a stock engine, 7 or 8 lbs at the most. You have to set a goal, say 500 hp, and what you intend to use the truck for. If it's going to be a daily driver/street truck, you don't want to sacrifice the longevity. Research the different ways to add hp reliably. The quick and cheap route will usually be full of problems. A good starting point would be port and polish the heads, a mild cam with upgraded springs, maybe some better valves. A cold air intake and an aftermarket exhaust will help it breathe better. A larger throttle body and mass air sensor followed up with a computer tuning should get you some considerable gains. That's just my opinion on a good starting point.

Will you do the work yourself? There's a used Rousch intercooled kit for sale - s/c forums $ 3K - so much simpler.
