oil pressure sensor question

i just changed my oil yesterday and finaly hooked my autometer oil pressure gauge. i had to replace the factory oil pressure sensor with the autometer to make it work. i planed to use a "T" so i could run both but it wouldn't scew it i can make it work but i want to wait untill my next oil change. My question is will the oil pressure sensor being unpluged mess with the computer or can i just deal with the light for a couple months?

Also the gauge reads 80psi when i first start it the drops to 40 then 25. is this right or is something wrong, and do i need get the air out of the line?

Thumbs up

That sounds like the correct oil pressure readings.Theoretically, there should be 10 psi for every 1000 rpm.
The air in the line will not harm anything but if you do bleed it off do it very carefully!

The computer doesn't monitor the stock oil pressure switch - it's ONLY for the fake gauge on the dash.
