Question 98 F-150 4.6- #1 plug blowing

Hey guys,

I was wondering if there was anyone who is having the same troubles I am with the plugs blowing out of the head. All of my threads are still there but it just keeps coming back out after about 10k miles. (yes i did run a camera in there)

Any thoughts on fixing it WITHOUT locktight? I'm kinda worried about putting locktight in my heads.

Thanks in advance.

You could do a search about Blown plugs but I will save you the grief.

Timesert has a kit to repair the threads. http://www.timesert.com/html/triton_repair.html

A long time ago when I was riding my Dream 305 Honda that was converted to a dirt bike. It would spit out a plug and all I did was wrap some steel wool around the threads and put it back in. It worked for awhile until it would blow out and then it would end up on my leg causing me to jump off the bike ASAP, you know that spark thingy. I wish they had that time sert kit back then.
