building a 5.4

I am looking into buying and building a 5.4 for my screw. The truck runs fine now, but lacks in the power department. When the truck is paid off, I am wanting to drop another motor into it. I was curious as to if anyone made a rebuild kit for the 97-03 5.4 Also, I will be having the motor bored .030 over as well as having the heads ported and polished, with headers. I am looking for the 450-500 HP mark. Anyone with a heads up on parts for these motors, I would greatley appreciate any help. Thank you

SHM does work on the modular engines. They do some preatty crazy stuff from what i have seen. The SHM is sean hyland motorsports. I spoke with them about building a 5.4 and they have all the goodies. I opted for my v10 swap instead.

Get Mahle pistons, eagle rods, and the 01' block and crank. That right there is a 1000hp capable block. id shoot for 10/1 compression, so you would have to figure what size cc dome you need. Get a set of stage II heads/cams, there are several companies out there. that should get you what you want. Top it all off with custom tuning.
