This is why I replied as I did.
It isn't as easy as he is thinking it is, just buying a hi end scanner, than ask what things mean without getting learned, which he says he won't do.
Most have no concept of how complex this all is and it won't get better anytime soon.
I know the way I tell it strokes some fur backwards but the truth is the truth.
I'm just that way about things.

I didn't say I wouldn't learn, I just do not have the time or desire to go to school to be some A.S.E. mechanic. I was mainly looking for someone to interpret the codes who was familiar with it than I can pick up what to look for from there.

I am. It's just that I don't add fluff to the way I respond.
This often is taken as some sort of insult or 'daragation' (a new word) because there seems to me to be something that gets changed by another person when reading a reply.
That is, under those circumstances the reader adds his own attitude inflection as the moment, as he reads it and often the intent of the writer never comes through the same as if they are talking face to face.
Makes quite a difference when thought about.
I would say that unless some one attacks with very pointed words; to give the benifit of the doubt in every case and make a judgement as to the worth of replying to such.
When a dissagreement degrades into name calling and personal attacks, I make a judement to either back off or give both barrels back and go until there is a give point because I could not allow anyone to step on me without paying some price before it ends. I get cornered into this about a half dozen times a year across all the board I frequent because the are a lot of a** holes that are so crude about relating to others.
Well anyways so much for this.
I think this thread is complete and hopefully of some value to better ways to relate on a subject.
Good day.
