compression ratios

is there a differance in compression ratios between the sohc lightning 5.4 and an f150 4x4 sohc 5.4

HI!... Yes. The LIGHTNING 5.4 has 8.4:1 compression with forged pistons. The regular N/A 5.4's have 9.0:1 compression and use hyperuetectic pistons. Besides that, both 5.4 longblocks are identical.

unless u manage to get a 5.4 without the forged crank the pistons is the only difference.
