90 f150

Ok I have been thinking about rebuilding the 5.0 in my 90 F150. I am under the impression this is a roller block. Would the heads be the E7TE heads that are portable, I can not afford aftermanrket heads. Also I have a monifold and air intake off of an 89 Mark 7 with a 5.0 HO. Would I gain anything by using that setup instead of the stock one on the truck now? thanks Mike

Clean them off & look for the casting numbers. I don't think it's a roller block, though.

I don't think they put roller blocks in trucks. just mustangs. Someone could have switched the engine already though. If it is E7TE heads and you port them make sure you cut the EGR hump out of the exhaust. Takes alot of time but worth it.
