Vacuum Lines

Hey guys, could use a little help. Just recently on my '98 F150 4.6l I thru a check engine light, codes P0174,P0171. Well after searching thru these forums I went and checked my vacuum lines. Found that behind the throttle body elbow pointing straight back there's an approx 2" hose with nothing connected to it ??? Anyone have an idea of what belongs there? Appreciate the help.

that should be the hose that connects to the pcv valve on the passenger side valve cover.

Thanks for the reply hibbsf350. That's what I was thinking. Tried following the line starting from the PVC and working backwards except it went between the block and the firewall and was stuck back there. Wasn't sure if it was connected to something so I didn't want to pull too hard. Looks like I'll P/U a new assembly if I cant get here freed up. Thanks again bud
