What else besides Motorcraft can yo use on the 4.6 and 5.4? I thought I saw a post where someone said it was ok to NGK V plugs? Anybody have the # for that plug?

 

Motorcraft.....................The 5.4l 3v Motorgraft only.

 

yeh motorcraft is the only plug to use in the 3v right now. everything else doesnt have close enough tollerences to install and remove properly.

 

I don't think the OP owns a 3V.

You can put any plug in them you want, but anything other than Motorcrafts are hit and miss. Use at your own risk.

i know ill get flak for this but.. ive had great luck with autolite platinums. have them in my 150 and crown vic. no problems.

 

He has a 2v. I use denso iridium's... best plug ive ever used.

 

They're the same plug as the Motorcraft Platinums

which two plug models are you comparing?

I didn't see any specifics mentioned, but for the majority of them they use the EXACT same components. The ONLY difference between say an Autolite 104 and an AGSF32C is the print on the barrel.

my autolite 104s worked alright for about 6 months. then i got pissed and bought iridiums... autolites lol
