That would be awesome -

A donor vehicle is the best way to go - If that's not in the cards you need the complete engine, front accessories to flywheel - Navigator throttle cable and cruise control cables. Torque converter and ECM needs to match which ever transmission you have (4R70w ,4R100 or E4OD)

Comp Cams would be nice - 106060 or 106100. ?? There's gotta be a better grind ??

Can't use the Navi oil pan you have to use the F-150 oil pan and oil pick up tube.

The MAF to get would be an 90mm along w/ 42lb injectors .

Harness - plug and play - a lightning fuel pump or a Walboro .

It will be fun fitting in longtubes - but I would make it work somehow.

So , I 've thought about it..

It would be 100% worth it. A turbo lightning made almost 1000hp easily with a STOCK 5.4dohc engine. Not even close to possible on the STOCK sohc.

well ford went away from the 5.4 in the GTR now the are using a 4.6 with a big bore kit. they called the 5.0 cammer it makes 440hp compared to 380 the previous 5.4 made. so i guess it all comes down to what kinda money u wanna spend.

X2 with decent ported and polished heads that'll come close to the '99 cobra R power and torque

not good if you wanna tow/haul...that is if he still plans on using it as a truck. if not the nav 5.4 would better suit as a truck engine... Just my .02

I guess so!! It would be sweet.. I wonder what the costs of all this would add up to? I am very good friends with a man that owns a motor shop.. They do great work.. I think i could get a pretty good discount price from him..
