Turbo vs. super?

Can anyone tell me the big difference between a turbo charger and a super charger? I know a turbo charger's job is to force air into the engine but what does a super charger do? Are there completely different applications for each or what? (I probably lost like, 10 man points for askin this question but I have 100's so I can spare a few)

both do the same thing. A turbo is exhaust driven, and a supercharger is belt driven. The turbo is more efficient because it doesnt take power to make power. A well designed turbo system will have no lag and you can controll the boost to make it 100% streetable. A supercharger will have power right off the line.
