Exclamation Please Help Need Info Now!!!

Hi everyone i have a 1993 f150 w/a 4.9 I6 it is leakin oil BAD! out of valve cover i got a gasket and silicone and all the tools (i hope)
is their anything i need to know / watch out for
any info greatly appreciated thanks

pretty straight foward job. just make sure you torque the bolts correctly and tighten them in the right order. if you dont have a haynes manual pick one up.

Yea, DON'T over tighten them thar bolts neither

You have the specs? - Pick up a book like Keith said..

Clean all sealing surfaces with mineral spirits or brake cleaner. Silicone will not seal good unless all surfaces are good and clean. Do not overtighten.

the order isnt in chiltons? ive always had haynes books. just do a cris cross pattern. like when you put on a wheel. more important is cleaning everything like those guys said. and dont snap a bolt in the head then you are screwed.
