Hesitation on 06 Screw 5.4

I feel kinda stupid asking this but my 5.4 just does not seem to have much get up and go to it. When I get on it, it acts like it is bogging down and then it will start to accelerate. Any ideas? Thanks. Oh, I have a K/N filter (non cold air).
Any help would be nice!

Has it always done this or just started? If everything is performing ok I would say it has alot to do with the rearend gear ratio that you have.

It's a 2006 - That's normal believe it or not. These motors are seriously under-tuned from the factory - get an XCal 2 .

I can smoke those 3 valves all night long - unless there tuned w/AF1 and Magnaflow exhaust.. It's like a night and day difference, they really go - this is confidential, so don't tell anyone round here in Mi k

I am experiencing the same thing. I believe it is how the factory tune is. Nothing I can do has fixed it. It bogs down even more if you accelerate going around a curve at 30mph. Just about dies and they kicks in quick.

This subject has almost been beaten to death more than complaints about mileage. Two words: TUNING. SEARCH.

Thanks for the info

I am looking into a AF1 and a maggie right now. So is the xcal the best way to go?
