Check the obvious things first, make sure the throttle cable isn't binding somewhere. Other than that, not too sure.

You sure - Its easy to confuse the two lines on the right of the TB.

What did you use for a gasket? - elbow to manifold?

You got rid of all the extensions the TB Spacer came with , you moved the whole throttle and cruise linkage assembly back to the stock position? The stock position is 1 1/2 " back..

I use a spacer myself , helps my passing gear with my stock CAI ..

If you need some pics you better hurry while I have an 01 in the drivway right now..

Hurry - I'll feed the dude another beer

i think the 2 lines are right. i might try to put the spacer back on but i dont see what diffrence it could make. and i reused the the gasket that was on there

Your air hook ups could be wrong - To much air flow. The line coming from the big black booster on the firewall plugs into the very bottom port of the elbow behind the throttle body.
The EVAP line plugs into the top port.

The 01 has three lines plugging into the passenger side of the TB Elbow port @ the bottom (Red, Black and White)..

Maybe you didn't use RTV sealant on the manifold - elbow gasket. Old gaskets leak bad. (test w/propane - turn the propane on and get it close to the gasket area, the motors idle will change if your sucking air)

Could be the IAC sticking - hit it a few times with a broom handle to free it up or clean it.

Hi Idle = To much air flow.. Idle should be @ 750 RPMS.

Good Luck

Just curious as to why people use shorties on these engines? On the dyno - there's absolutly no gains in HP or Torque. With the Longtubes you gain an average of 18 HP..

If you went with a JBA system , you can gain up to 30 hp...

Can you explain this?

Pull your IAC tube then start.- Actually pull it out of your intake while its running, tell me what happends. It should idle way down.

- you never answered any of my questions before - so I don't know what to tell yuh..Hell I gave yuh, the whole layout on the 01 - did you check anything?

Using Black RTV is the best , but you never asked.. - High Heat Black cures the quickest..
