buzzing from ecm after truck is turned off

a guy I work with just called me about his truck buzzing from the "ecm"?? under the air intake and brake booster on the drivers side this is happening after he turns the truck off and it drains the battery pretty fast. other than that the truck starts and runs just fine

I am headed over there to check it out and I will post some pics when I get back and see what I can figure out

anybody else have this issue?? it's a 2000 supercab 2 wheel drive w/ 5.4 with a MAC CAI and a muffler shop special catback exhaust

the ECM is normally on the passenger side. kick pannel behind the battery.
did he have the recall done for the pressure switch?

Probably a faulty ABS control module causing the pump or a valve to go nuts....

the truck runs and start just fine, but when the key is off, the box buzzes and drains the battery, I think it got wet since it's under the hood and it shorted out, I will post up a pic in the morning and see if anyone can identify the box and what exactly it does

A buddy of mine had an Isuzu that had the ABS module do this years ago. It was a 99 Rodeo I think.

projectSHO89 and Greenbuck50 I think it is the ABS module, the truck is a 2000 not a newer one like i was told over the phone, hopefully the pics can help identify the problem

I'm having the same problem with my 2000. One day the abs pump kept on pumping after the engine was turned off. Being that it doesnt affect basic braking, I unplugged the abs until i can figure it out. Any advice on where the abs relay is etc. would be appreciated
