Electric Fans

My truck has never left Montana Idaho and Washington. But recently I moved to Southern California and I noticed that my engine temp now runs about 10 degrees hotter. And when I pull some of the passes around here... granted im pulling a trailer and I do have a 4.6.... Im doing 50 and the engine is up in the 220's. I have never seen it this high before. Is this bad? Would efans help cool it better? What about a cooler thermostat?

What kind of efans would you guys recommend. I know the tp fans were having some issues. Is that fixed?

E-fans

I believe the issue w/ the Troyer fans is corrected, they use mounting rods that pass through the radiator core itself to mount the fans and they would rub the core and cause problems.now they have upgraded the rods to actual brackets that attach to the radiator itself, not the core.Flex-a-lite makes an excellent e-fan for your application. The e-fan will run about $400.00,but it is a complete kit, fans, mounting hardware, wiring, elec. connections and a controller.I'm sure both will do an excellent job,its what you prefer.which ever you decide, good luck w/ your fans
