Question Is my 5.4 seized up?

I have a 2000 F-150 5.4. 111,000 miles. My brother borrowed the truck for a couple months,I dont think he checked the oil, because it was low.he was going down the freeway and truck just stalled out and would not turnover.I had the starter checked, because it sounded like the same click when it goes.Someone told me to put a socket on the harmonic balancer bolt and it should turn.I tryed that and it would not turn.Is the seized up or not? PLEASE HELP

yup... it is siezed up. was it hot when you tried to turn it? if so did you try to turn it when it was cold? You could squirt a little oil down the spark plug holes and let it sit for a bit and try it again with the wrench.. with the spark plugs out. Good luck to you!

Could have snapped a chain - which could be balled up and jammin the crank.

I'de be suprised if you blew a 5four , unless it had no oil in it..
