Q's about oil
Does anybody not run the 5W-20 that Ford recommends ( at least thats what they recommend in my owners manual) because i've always used 10W-30 valvoline. plus i couldn't find a case of the 5W at my local auto store. anybody think there will ba any problems with running 10W-30
You may get away with 10W-30 during the summer, but I still don't think it's worth the risk of having oiling problems. Your fuel mileage is likely to suffer some.
You can't find the Motorcraft 5W-20 at the local Wally world? They have a hard time keeping it on the shelf in one of the stores here, but it has always shown up eventually.

Your engine calls for Ford spec 930 oil. The only oils that meet this spec are 5W20. Use a non-spec oil at your own risk. 5W20 that meets 930 spec of all different types and brands are widely available at Walmart, Advance Auto Parts and Auto Zone.
