Could use some help on a 5.4L 3V project
I hope I am posting this in the right place. It says engines?
Anyways, I am building a sand rail and went with the good ol blue oval for a powerplant. I found a 5.4L 3V out of wrecked 2005 F-150. I got everything with the motor including the wiring harness and the stock computer.
The kicker with this is it isnt going to have the A/C unit on it. Only Powerstearing pump and alternator. It is also going to be married to a mendeola manual transaxle. So I need to be able to reprogram the computer to not take into account the transmission. I think anyways.
Anyone got suggestions on this?
I would also love to turbo this motor or supercharge it. It seams though you can pick up used turbos allot cheaper than superchargers. Anyone with any experience with this world?
