3/4 tons dont have EPA fuel economy ratings for a reason. You dont want to know.
I'd guestimate that a 3/4 with the 3v 5.4 will get somewhere around 10-12 combined. I'd wager about 16-17 max hwy depending on the configuration and about 1-2 mpg less with the V10.

The 5.8L V8 on early-mid 90's trucks is a great motor for hauling. MPG? Maybe 15 straight highway, closer to 12-13 normal driving. Thing is, you can haul a 2 ton boat, and still get 10. It got discontinued in '98 I believe and replaced with the 5.4. (4.6 replaced the 5.0). Think the 5.8 was like 200 horse, and near 300lb/torque. Remember, horsepower sells cars and torque gets that 5 ton load up the hill. Which is more important?
But ya, none get good mileage. I used to have the 300 I-6 on a standard, 2wd, with 3.08 gears. About best combo possible for mileage(couldn't tow worth a damn, but whatever). Straight highway I might see 16-17, again, more like 10 around town.
If you want mileage, buy a little tiny Ranger. Heard those can get well into the 20's on the highway.
