Ok, so I'm not done w/questions. Sigh. The kit I got says it fits the 03 Exp, and several others. It is kit #295 - a "universal" kit. Anyway, the radiator on my Ex sits in two U channels (on either side). from the edge of one U to the edge of the other U is 27". The fan shroud is 27 1/2 ". Groan. The radiator itself is plenty big, I just lost a half inch on those brackets. I am thinking that Imight be able to slice a 1/4 inch off each side with a grinder.
Anyhow, the kit comes with 2 sets of brackets - two that are about 8" long and folded 90 degrees with a series of slotted holes and some threaded gromets. The other set consists of 4 long brackets with long slotted holes running the length of the bracket. On one end the bracket is bent 90 degrees ( an L shape) and on that end there are two round holes.
The short brackets slotted holes line up with threaded grommets in the fan shroud in variuous locations.
There is no indication as to how these things may be used. Not even a suggestion.
So I was wondering if anyone has a picture they could share with me for a FAL installation. I'm thinking there might be some similarity that I could at least get an idea from.
Of course, if anyone has the 295 kit, that would be spectacular.
Those issues aside, I am very impressed with the construction of this kit. Restores my faith in the notion, "made in America". Very well built.
So, any pics or suggestions on how to use the brackets would be greatly appreciated.
