Evap Help Plz
When idling or driving a noise sounding like air being realeased is comming from my gas cap. I was wondering what is suppose to realease all that pressure. Would it be the evap vent selenoid? This is in a 97 f-150 4.6L

If the CP valve were indeed stuck open, any pressure would bleed off through it and would never be apparent at the fuel cap.
Unless you have a CEL with an EVAP code, don't worry about it.
Before trying to fix a "problem", you probably need to learn how the system works and what is normal and what is not normal.
Ford publishes an annual OBDII system summary that is free to download. You can find them via www.motorcraft.com and read up on how the various systems are supposed to work.
