What is this...?

I changed my oil and found this... This is the first time I changed the oil (dealer did the first one)... This is a 2006 F150 SuperCrew with a 5.4.

It looks like it should be plugged into something...

Do you have a wider pic of the engine area? Then I can compare it to mine to see what/where it goes.

You know, I remember seeing a thread about this some time ago. From what I remember, it's a harness that is used only in the 4X4 trucks. Seems all trucks come from the factory with it, but only 4X4 have it connected. If yours is a 2X4, probably no concern.

Perhaps someone else remembers the thread, or knows for sure.

It looks like the purge/fill connector. It's used to bleed the brakes when the vehicle is assembled.

It's just a blank plug on the male end to keep dirt and water out of the connector.

that connector used to be pluged into a transducer on the power steering presure line that is no longer there (i.e Ford removed the transducer from production but wiring remains the same)
