Power Steering Hose 5.4 -- replace question?

Power Steering Hose 5.4 -- replace question?

my powersteering hose is leaking from the pump where it connects by the pulley... do i have to remove the pulley pump to get at this and is there a O-ring that can be replaced or just replace the whole hose -- thanks ==

I just did that. Impossible to get the hose off without removing the pulley. Unless you remove the pump or pull the engine.. thats how I got it off. Had to pull the pulley to get it back on. Forgot to put it on while the engine was out.

If you're talking about the hose I think you are, then I also had to replace that. I couldn't get it off the way it was, but since I had the entire hose to replace I just used a hacksaw blade to cut the tube off close to the connector then used a deep socket to get the thing out finally. At least, I'm pretty sure that's how I did it... it was about a year ago lol.
