I really need help

I hate to post this here, but I can't get any help in the A/C section. Can anybody tell me where the orifice tube is located in my 97 F150 with the 4.6? It is not located wherethe Haynes manual said it should be, which is the top line going into the condensor. I'm desperate guys.

Perhaps it's because you didn't even ask this question there.....

The O-tube will be somewhere in the line that runs from the outlet of the condensor to the inlet of the evaporator. Ford sometimes mounts them in the evaporator inlet.

I haven't had to pull the o-tube yet in my F150 and I don't have my shop manuals handy this morning, so I can't give a more specific answer.

The orifice tube is ether located in the high pressure hose between the Condenser and the Evaporator ( small hose ) or in the inlet to the Evaporator.
