Will putting a throttle body spacer on my '04 F-150 with the 5.4 liter V8, increase the gas mileage...are there any disadvantages to putting them on?

So it will cost you about a tank and a half worth of gas money to get better gas milage?

Better be one heck of an MPG increase to pay off before you sell the truck.

 

other than the whistle u get with it? ive not noticed anything else... but it did help with mileage....
although knowing people helps...i only paid 40...

 

No but they make a neat paper-weight.

 

I've had a TBS on now for about 3-4 months, and I haven't noticed much of anything except as everyone says the whistle. I'm actually planning on pulling it off this weekend and using it as a fishing weight in the bay.

 

it will hurt your performance by slowing down the intake volocity, dont get one they are worthless
