it'll run fine, 10% is the limit set by the manufacturer that our engines can run. I actually don't know of any gas stations here that don't sell the 10% blend, that's all I've been running for the last couple of years.

depends on the available adaptive strategy in the fuel system. to run ethanol it takes more gasoline to do the work it normally would so it needs a longer injector pulse meaning it uses more fuel. but if your fuel strategy is limited to its adaptation because of close tolerances in a tune so it wont go to lean or rich. so its all in does the truck have a programmer or a tune on it. to run ethanol blended fuel effectively u need to tune the PCM unless its flexfuel which has a sensor in the tank to detect the difference in fuel grade.

Just remember, you may already be running a 10% ethanol fuel. Many jurisdictions require it. You might want to check the the stations in your area.

I'm pretty sure every gas station in New York is already running E-10 gas, a 10% ethanol/90% gas blend. Many other states are doing the same.

Modern cars, as in any with a computer ECU and EFI can and will automatically adjust for this, ideally you shouldn't notice a difference in performance or driving, though your mileage will be a little crappier.

In most places all the gas is 10% Ethanol. Ethanol was used to replace the MTBE that was causing drinking water contamination.

yeh def not worth the price break.. up here in dallas it seems to cost more for ethanol blend. its retarded u spent 10 cents more for fuel up here that u get 2-3mpg worse.

Ethanol actually costs more to make and is government subsidized at this time. Cost was not the issue, it was reducing the barrels of oil consumed.

im glad im in N idaho... we have hardly any ethanol suppliers lol. i think in my area we have holiday gas stations that supply 10% ethanol. at 10c cheaper or the same price as exxon gas up the road. and 20c cheaper than shell or texaco.

Remember when I ran 10% ethonal in my 99, Jerm? Power and milage sucked a$$, and I think it might have actually caused a few of my problems I was having.

Like Faster said, are you sure your not already running it some. I think at Westend all the have is 10% now (maybe I was just seeing things). Dont know what the store would have though...

yeah everywhere I usually fill up with gas (ND, SD, NE, MT, WY, KS, and CO) use the 10% blend, since it's subsidized it's just like wind energy. Even though it's really more expensive it's cleaner, so the gov. wants it used
