Help Help Help

Ok guys here the deal just did a rebuild on my 5.4L sohc motor. It moved fine when we placed the torque converter on several revolutions and nothing stuck the timing marks I triple check and they were on the money I can the motor now to start and it turned a couple of times then it sounds as if the starter is stuck I try to move the crank via 1/2 socket and nothing.

is the transmission in park or neutral?? when ur trying to hand crank it over.. on a compression stroke is pretty hard to fight those 4 cylnders that are compressing at about the same time.

If it sounds like the starter is stuck maybe it is. Pull the starter and try to turn the engine.

if the started hangs in than he will have a fire shortly there after the battery cables will start to smoke..

Thank God !!!!

OK well no the starter didnt hang but it did go out on me. That was the first thing I could think about so I pulled it and tested it and it didnt even turn.

So bought a new starter and viola. Damn my wifes truck sound good now. Those cams just sound great I figured I had it opened so I decided to purchase Comp Cams 102100 just for something different and she nows has a work truck that can go next thing I've decided is to get it tuned after I custom bend an exhaust for it.

Miko

Thanks all for all of the ideas.

Exclamation Yepp

Completely rebuilt the bottom end didnt touch the heads except for the cams. Brand new Forged Knife Edged crankshaft, bearings all the way around and obviously didnt remove the pistons but I was very very tempted.
