Error Code P0455 and resolutions ?

I searched the forum and found out what the code is and that other have had it, can any that had that error code come up share what they did to resolve the problem. My next step is to take it to the dealer for the static smoke test ($$$), was hoping someone could show me some ideas.

I bought the ScanGauge II recommend by another member, very cool tool. I also got two other codes but could not find much info on them.

P0010 and B2000

Thanks guys

1997 F150 4X4, 79,540 miles. no mods other then flowmasters and no recent underhood work.

The other two codes are bogus (scan tool error). Contact the manufacturer or your dealer for support.

The P0455 is probably a valid fault code.

First step: Check your fuel cap to make certain it is fully engaged - most common cause of a P0455 code. Otherwise, perhaps a malfunction of the vent solenoid (stuck or jammed open). Spider's nests are a common cause.

I found it here -

BUT! I'm not familiar with it myself, sounds like Steve is

I replaced the gas cap as that is an easy one, cleared the codes and P0455 popped up again few days later. Looking under the truck I can not see any hoses that look bad or may be leaking.

Anyother idea. ?

Thanks

Thanks Jbrew, that helped alot. I inspected some of the hoses under the hood and found that hose number 2 (Evaprotive Emissions Return Tube) was showing signs of age. its deteriorating and the alarm horn was rubbing on it. I replaced it with some fual line hose, don't know if that will fix the problem but it needed replacing.
