Whatever your truck is rated for. Just change it regularly.

MOBILE...yes

i use mobile delvac. its a super high detergent oil. its a diesel oil, but it has a gasoline spec too! its a 15-40 vis, but i tore down my 5'oh that i had been using delvac in...everything was sooo clean and the cylinders were beautiful. i use k&n gold filters...theyre pricey so i swap the filter every other oil change (oil gets changed every 2500 miles...religiously!)

I hate to break it to ya, but the Delvac and the K&N oil filters are not what kept your engine nice and clean. The 2500 mile oil changes are what did that. You could use el cheapo $0.59 grocery store special oil and change it every 2500 miles and the engine would probably look as clean inside as it did the day it was built.

In these trucks, there's no reason to run anything special. Find some inexpensive oil that you like that meets API SM specs (just about every oil on the shelf meets this spec) in a suitable weight (5w-20 or 5w-30, there's really not much difference...a 5w-30 will probably shear to a 5w-20 before too long anyway) and run it for 4,000-5,000 miles.

You'll save money and won't waste as much oil draining it out before it's all used up.

But hey, if you want to keep using that expensive synthetic and change it every 3,000 miles, put it a container and mail it to me...I'll pour it in my engine and run it another 5,000 miles.

Get whatever is on sale or that comes with a free filter, just get the right numbers and you're cruisin'. Ya, at least 500 000 threads about oil brands, 1 thing for sure, to each his/her own on that topic. It's like asking what milk is best?

Whatever your truck's motor is spec'ed for, use it. Typically says on the oil filler cap, though using a slightly different weight oil will not cause any problems short of extreme driving conditions (heavy hauling, very high temps, ext) Usually 5-20 or 10-30 is just fine. I use the former in winter and the latter in summer. The local auto store gives you a free filter when you buy Valvoline oil, so that's what I do.

Buying synth oil and changing it every 2500 miles is an utter waste of money. Synthetic oil takes forever to "break down" (if it never got dirty it would probably last the life of your motor) it just gets dirty and full of other crap. If you believe in changing every 2500, use plain brown-box dino oils. Those do start to break down and shear after 4 or 5 thousand miles and protection does drop.

Your call, but that's buying a case of beer and throwing it away with 12 bottles still left.

That would be a negative ghost rider. Synthetic oil breaks down just like conventional, however it doesn't turn to sludge as does conventional. The actual term is "lubricity." Synthetic oil begins to loose its lubricity at a certain point, and the additives that make it work so well break down and no longer perform the desired function. When this occurs, synthetic oil turns to a lesser quality lubricant, kind of like water over time. Bottom line, change it with what Ford calls for (which is most likely 5/20) and change it every 3-4K and never worry about it. Stay far away from the snake oils as your ford warranty will go 6 feet under if you use them during your warranty period unless you change them within recommended intervals. (which would be a waste of money, considering they are usually twice as much or more)
