Oil filter relocation kit

Hey all,
My 1997 F-150 with a 4.6L has a oil filter relocation kit on it (I believe it was an option from the factory?) Anyway, the hoses are leaking oil bad, so it needs to be replaced. Ford wants $260 for this OUCH! Has anyone ran into this, and is it possible to just get rid of it? There seems to be a plate over the front pumpkin on the 4x4 that limits space for a filter.

PLEASE HELP cause im losing 1 qt+ oil every week! Wont be too happy if the hoses completely break...

Thank you

Go to an autoparts store, or machine shop and have a set of hydraulic hoses made for you. They'll withstand 4,000+psi.
