alright, i'm getting the p0401 flow insufficient code. i've already replaced the egr valve which fixed the previous code, but now a week later this is happening. i was going to pull the DPFE, but, how the heck do you get it off! Ive tugged at it till i've gotten tired of it. please help. i've also checked the vacuum lines and made sure they were tight and not leaking, and they weren't.

Wow....Seriously I hope you're looking at the wrong thing. Stevie wonder could get a DPFE sensor off if he had to. There are 2 bolts on it holding it in place.

 

If the hoses are stuck, use a small screwdriver to go around the lip of the hoses.

 

its the dpfe, its just the hoses dont wanna let go, no bolts to it

 

There are bolts holding it on, I promise you. Use a little flathead and a few drops of wd-40.

 

Blackhawk68 has the new style that is free standing with only the hoses holding it up.

You have what I understand is the latest design and I would get it from the dealer.

 

just asking, but whats different between the dealer one and the one i would get from autozone? what did they change about it?

 

I personally don't think there is a difference. I put a dpfe sensor in my wife's truck that I bought at autozone. The only difference I could see was that my wallet didn't lighten up as much.
