I had issues with a misfire, rough and very rich.
Had the truck scanned with WDS unit and went out for a run with the unit in the cab with the Technician.

Down on #4

After plug and coil swap turned out to be a faulty injector in #4
Swapped it out with #1 and the problem went to #1
Fuel graphs were all over the place on that bank.

New injector from JDM sent by DHL
Fitted today - running like a dream.

Bring on the Dyno and Jim's awesome tune next....

Was the injector a pain to swap out?

They told me it could be the plug, but I put brand new bosch platinum's in @ 75,000 miles so that's hard to believe. Another possibility they said was the fuel injector. Any ideas on what it could be? I'm hoping it's nothing too expensive but would like to see if anyone else has had the same problem or know what's going on before I dive in to it. Thanks!
something similar happened to me and my 2001 lightning. If you're idling different in Park it could be your valve coil. Because i had a diagnostic ran on mine and said 3rd was misfiring. This regulates how much fuel is being injected and if it is shot will cause a misfire and fill with too much fuel and all that nonsense. This costed me about 390 at the dealership. With labor. Just remember to ask for the old part so you don't get f-ed at the dealership

Well I looked up valve coil on ALLData and on my DVD's - There is no such thing for these motors

You sure you have the part name right?

I've finally had a chance to pull the wires and plugs...I started with #4 naturally and when I pulled the boot out I was shocked - it was completely saturated with what I'm assuming is coolant. It's wet with a brownish green color to it. When I put the socket down to pull the plug I heard a bunch of liquid around the plug so I didn't pull it. There was no evidence of the heater hose above it leaking, but I tightened the clamps anyway to make sure they won't leak again (if they have been). At this point I'm waiting for a buddy to come over with his air compressor so we can blow the hole dry before pulling the plug, but I'm pretty sure I've narrowed down the reason as to why #4 has been misfiring...all the plugs and wires will be replaced by tomorrow night so I'll let you all know how she runs when I start it back up...
