Belt Squeal......at 350 miles???????

Is this common? It squeals at idle until about 1500rpm or so. I'm sure (or at least hope) it will sort of break in and stop. It's kind of embarassing.

Definitely not bueno. Taking it in is good advice. Something might be failing, or out of alignment. Does it improve when it warms up?

If the belt tensioner is good and working and the belt is the right size, you could an assy pulley problem causing excess drag, ie water pump, AC, emission pump, alternater etc.

Well it's strange. First 2 days with the truck, no belt noise. Then at a coffee drive-trough I heard it yesterday. That's why I made the post. Now today, not a peep out of it. When it was noisy it was dry and sunny out (no moisture to cause slipping) So, I guess I just wait and see if it comes back.
