So I just read a thread about programmers, and it sounds like are good, probably eventually pay for itself in gas (in the loooong run). But are there any known negatives to these programmer? Thanks - James

Hi & welcome.

Read only one thread?

There is a section on this forum dedicated to programmers - there are a couple more in there for you to read

--> https://www.f150online.com/forums/chips-tuners-programming-34/

This post is a good start: --> https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ight=read+this

Pull up a chair & grab a cold one.....

Good luck.

Cheers
Bubba

The biggest problem can be from program glitch that stops the engine from running such as returning from program to stock.
If you get into this situation, the only way is to have a dealer reflash the PCM.
Then the question is what's wrong?
The other position is when you program parameters outside of the reccomended settings and get/cause yourself problems you don't understand about.
There are certain elements of risk you have to assume if you want to play.
