Programmers

I dropped $300 on hypertech's latest programmer for my 2000 4.6L
I am happy with the 93 octane tuning and increased transmission shift firmness
In my readings here, everyone leans towards edge and troyer. What do these tuners have that the hypertech does not, and more importantly, what do they do that hypertech does not? I can tell a big difference bewtween stock tunig and performance tuning, especially in throttle response and freeway passing.
I have a k&n intake and 3"JBA cat back single exhaust (which I am soooooooooo delighted with)
Any specs?

The only conflicts one might have is if you have a shift kit or after market valve body in the trans..
