95 150 fuel pressure / runs rough

95 f-150 5.8

Truck idles up and down when it park . For some time it has wanted to die when first put in reverse , this seams to be worse than before . Now while driving down the highway will rev up and down a little .
Check engine light does not com on at first start up , but always comes on after a minute or two . The code from autozone said EGR , garage tested and said is good so I didn't replace { lot of money just to guess } .
I put a fuel gauge on the rail and at idle 32 psi . If I pull and plug the line on the regulator it goes up to 42 psi .
One mor then I'll quit !! When taking off it bogs down , like if you start off in too high of a gear with a clutch , problem is this is automatic ! Can't find anything wrong in timing , ignition area . Sorry for rambling and thanks for the help .

Stay OUT of the zone. You only need a paperclip & this thread to pull codes any time you want. There's also a link to the full code list in it.

The fuel pressure sounds fine, but have you driven with the gauge installed so you can watch what happens on the road? Try to route the gauge out the back of the hood & tuck it under a wiper so you can read it & watch the road at the same time.

How many miles on the wires, cap, & rotor? What's the gap on the plugs & how do they look in comparison to the inside back cover of Haynes?

How many miles on the trans fluid & filter? Which trans is it? If you don't know, check the TRANS code on the door sticker. "E" is the most likely, and that's the E4OD. Has it ever been rebuilt? Has it ever been used for towing? Do your speedometer, odo, & cruise work normally?

How many miles on the axle oil? Is the truck 2WD or 4?
