Thumbs up I Need Help!

My name is frank and i just bought a 2006 f150 4.6l supercrew. i love the truck but i also hate it. I like to drive my trucks hard but im not pleased in doing so with this truck. does anyone know a way to bypass or get rid of the governor since it governs out at about 160km/ h which isnt enough for me. also the one wheel break burn just isnt doing it for me. is there any way to get both back wheels smoking? if any of you people out there can offer me tips please do. also the gas mileage on this truck is brutal! any way to change it?

You will need a limited slip carrier, and new gears in the rear end to get them both to spin

And you will need a tuner to permanetly disable the govenor

And to improve your gas mileage, slow down, dont push your poor truck so hard

well, sounds like ur driving habits are killing ur gas mileage. i know that with my 5.4 if i drive it hard i get about 11 mpg, if i drive normal, then about 15 mpg. for the one wheel peel, get a limited slip, and for the govenor, get a tuner from Troyer and you will be all set

lol i would love to, but i dont got enough money to afford repairs on the engine every week. i had one, dumped it right after, nothing but problems. honestly its got more ***** but it wasnt worth it for me, maybe i just had bad luck with the truck and not all are like that

I think its great if you wanna beat it than by all means DO IT. I just think its funny to want to rawhide a stock truck. When maybe a Cobra or something would be a better choice. Anyway your in the right place to get that Little V8 screaming!
Check out the aftermarket posts. Where you will find endless ideas and opinions on making your truck go fast.

If you really want performance, slap a racing muffler on it, mod your intake up a little, get a 150 shot, and a tuner and you should be good for a low 15 maybe even a high 14

why in the hell would you spend $50k on a 4.6L
you could get a lightnening for that!
did you get bent over at the dealership?

sorry man

I drive a 4.6L I dont really tow. I wanted a V8 becuase I do a lot of projects so I have stuff in the bed, plus the 3v 5.4's are great models, but because more vehicles run the 4.6 it seems to have less problems. Do this to start and you can spin both tires in first.

Tuner
Intake
Exhaust

Thats all you can do for less than $1000
After that you could consider heads, intak manifold, etc....you are in the right place though.
Sorry to break your ***** earlier. We have to start some where

Thats 50k canadian by the way taxes in on a 4.6l supercrew xlt chrome package. so its not a bad price i think. a lightning is useless to me when im pulling 3 snowmobiles too and i have a mustang for the high speeds, i just need more power outta the truck for some fun

im preety sure thats not a lightning in ur picture there and if u live in the states, once you convert the price of your truck to canadian dollars, your pushing around 50k too.
