Anyone no how to get rid of the top speed limiter on a 2003 f150 5.4. I hate when it tops out at 165km/h

You can purchase a tuner from Mike -

Paramedics really hate it when people with 5000 lb trucks have blowouts at speeds in excess of 165 kph. Exceeding the maximum speed rating of your wheels, tires, axles, and driveshafts is never a good idea.

Since you're going by KPH, I'm assuming you don't live in Texas. So yeah, I could care less since you're not gonna be on my roads.

I don't feel comfortable going 95mph in my truck knowing its very low limits of handling and braking yet the decent amount of mass and momentum it can carry. Now if you've got some fancy hopped up F150 that you track for some odd reason, then I guess you may need to go faster than ~102mph.

Umm, no. I am my brother's keeper. The bible says so.

As was already mentioned, a tuner will take care of it. Had you used the search function before posting a new topic that gets asked at least once a week, you would have found no less than 500 threads with the word 'speed limiter' in it, and 2/3 of the way down the first page you would have found your answer.

But again, driving at those speeds on public roads with tires not rated for those speeds is reckless and irresponsible at best.

I agree it is plain stupid to drive that fast on public roads. Even if you are alone. You crash and others like you crash... and all our insurance premiums go up. Besides... there is just no reason.. damn I am getting old lol.

I agree with the above statements as I work for an insurance carrier. Also, I would like to add, other than the tires, you really need to upgrade your brakes!!! Good luck.

If you are going to do it and actually drive at a higher speed, please make sure you replace the stock tires with a set that's appropriately speed rated.

You keep that speed needle pointing at 3 o'clock and that gas needle won't be pointing at 12 o'clock for very long.

Even with a tuner, your truck will not go much faster than 100. Sorry.
