Truck won't start
I need some help. My truck won't start. it will turn over...sorta.
it just goes tich tich tich tich tich tich tich until I stop it.
also the milegage just shows " - - - - - - - " instead of my mileage.
I think it might be the security keys?? I dunno.
My truck is a 2001 F-150 Supercab.
anyone have any ideas?
Thank you for ANY help!

yea I thought it was the battery, but I took it to Kragen today and had them test it and it was fine. I also tried jumping it, but with no luck.
What does it usually mean when the odometer shows " - - - - - - - " ????
Thats the part that has me puzzled.
Also I was talking to my friend and he said he had the same problem one time when he accidently tried to start his truck when it was in N. something about resetting the alarm and key chips and stuff.

so after I had the battery tested at Kragen i came back and left it in the garage for a couple hours.
after dinner I went out to re-connect it and the SOB turned over!
I have no idea what was wrong or what fixed it? I'm guessing it was "restarting" the internal computer. I tried doing that last night, but I only left it unplugged about 10 minutes before re-trying it. Guess I just had to let it sit longer.
anyways just wanted to give you guys an update.
now it's time for its spring cleaning tomorrow. and sitting in the college parking lot sure had done its number to the cleaniness of it
