does anyone no how much it would be to purchase and rebuilt, or used 5.4 and then have it installed along with a new transmittion. my 97's tranny is going and i want the bigger engine but i dont want to pay a **** load of money.

 

This is one way to go as far as engine swap for power...
5.4 Supercharged with trans
Check ebay, they usually have some really good deals. If you cannot drop it in yourself local automotive shops can. Good luck

 

I put an engine in my expedition a couple of years ago and I think when everything was done I paid like 2800-3000. No idea on the tranny.
