knocking and pingging

i have a 97 4.6 f-150 with 185k on it. as i drive it lurches and when i accelerate it knocks and pings. the only things that think could be bad are the coil and/or the injectors. any ideas?

Have you tried a tank or 2 of premium gas? If it's spark knock that should stop it till you can do what needs to be done.

You don't have any codes set for this kind of running?
My guess is an EGR problem.

You might want to check your plug wires to be sure they are all on tight at the plugs. I had an intermittent miss that was a wire that the boot wasn't pushed down tight and a good bump would cause a miss.

Could be spark plugs. How old are they?

Might be a vacuum leak somewhere too. Ive had vehicles that idled fine, but when you tried to drive they went crazy, and it was a simple problem. Of course they were older ones that had carb's too, dont know if that makes a difference.

How did your fault codes read out on the scanner? What are the numbers?

Unlikley that all O2's are bad, that's why I ask..

Yeah , all your O2's are fine - those codes prove that there working as they should be. You have a vac leak most likley or a dirty MAF sensor.

Check the hose that 90's before entering the rear of your manifold - it's been a common problem .. This one -

Clean your MAF sensor.

It's in here -
