P1408 = EGR Flow Out Of Self Test Range


You got it - Check the 2 hoses on the bottom of it then down to the tube , make sure those hose are good - unplug the connecter and plug it back in - reboot your comp - to see if it's something other than sensor problems , I doubt it , but worth a shot ..It could be The EGR valve it self - I would get a Hayne's book or something that will guide you on how to check things out - that's what I started with - It's a good general book for these trucks , special probs like this one .. The book will describe a few procedures to follow so ,you don't just throw parts at it.. The DPFE is the common culprit in this case , like you said..
