Fuel filters

Time to replace my fuel filter, I ordered a new one from motorcraft, which I thought was the higher flow than my stock one, but I got it and its half the size... I got the FG 986B. Which one do you guys use that have a high demand for fuel?

Miller_tyme042 02-23-2007 04:52 PM

That fuel filter is for the 4.2 and 4.6 not 5.4

built54 02-23-2007 05:10 PM

yeah, its very small. I was lied to.

is that the same one for the lightnings?

jbrew 02-23-2007 07:45 PM

Shoot, there isn't a 5.4L that could eat as much volume that flows threw a stock filter..If that's what your worried about Joey..

Thats weird that the lightning would have a smaller filter.

built54 02-24-2007 10:35 AM

that is the one I have, but its half the size, but if its what the lightning guys are using, ill use it then.
