I don't think they offer fuel filters for the 04+ trucks...

what makes you think you have 100% clean gas? How many miles are on your fuel filter?

I just changed mine today, it all of about 5-10 minutes. I would recommend getting the fuel line tool from the parts store. My filter was the FG986B

built54 02-27-2007 11:10 PM

that is the one I went with.

A few weeks ago, I changed my trans fluid. When I replaced the trans filter, I "bumped" it in place with my fist. Well, I got it all lined up, and I decided it needed a good firm BUMP to seat it. It went "CRACK". It was 2:00AM and I didn't have another filter, and my original was covered with dirt so I decided to just let it go. Well, NOW every time I back up, I get the "air in hydraulic system" whine, and if I turn sharp to the left, the trans jumps in and out of gear. So I'm thinking it's sucking air.

So I get to looking, and John Deere makes a trans filter for my truck too!! I'm gonna order one later and try it out!
