Burning Plastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's coming from the heat/AC registers...What can I do, other than take it to a mechanic!?!?!?!?!??!

this is my bet also happened to my moms van once and it still occasionally gets the smell eventhough the dealer removed it.
