Engine Warning Light!!

I have an 01 F150 w/ a 4.6 V8 and when I start it up in the morning before work, or when I get back from school (never after being run during the day) the Oil Pressure light goes on, and the dial is at the base line not even on Low. I really don't feel like getting ripped $75 for the dealer to just reset the thing if the sensor is faulty instead of having them just replace it. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Sounds like your oil pressure sending unit is bad. Try replacing it.

The oil pressure unit should only be $10-$20. I am not sure exactly where its located

Every Ford dealer in the country can get it for you. Most will have it in stock since it's a commonly used item.
