This ones got me stumped, I've looked threw allot of stuff , I know what the code stands for now(P0320 Ignition Engine Speed (PIP) Input circuit fault) , but where in the world is the circuit.???
Does it interconnect to the TPS by chance or just the starter? Guessing Iduno..

Also This poster has a 2000 - 4.2, 4.6 or 5.4 ? meme3 , which motor do you have? How many miles?

Info

This is from my CD service manual
P0320 - Ignition Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction The ignition engine speed sensor input signal to PCM is continuously monitored. The test fails when the signal indicates that two successive erratic profile ignition pickup (PIP) pulses have occurred. Loose wires/connectors.
Arcing secondary ignition components (coil, wires and plugs)
On board transmitter (2-way radio)
The DTC indicates that two successive erratic PIP pulses occurred.

Thanx - First time seeing this one - so what you have to do is check all connectors and wiring. Not an easy task .. PIN checks would be last. I guess a good visual and connector check would be first tho.

Was the motor washed by chance? Secondary - meaning a coil check? That would make sense since it's running rough..But then again , not necessarily.
