Check engine when I accelerate

Yeah , that sucks because it's suppose to set a code. There are parameters, your comp will start to compensate when you get a blinker . What's happens is , the COP is failing , but hasn't failed yet. It will short out from time to time until it does totally fail. From my experience you have to get it to blink twice (different occurrences)within the same drive-cycle before it sets code - Some fail slowly..

That is the best thing to do, "replace them all" when this starts to happen. Certain occasion you don't , like if one became wet on yuh..

Under normal failure -"Aged COP's" that are just getting weak..Replacing all is best. Replacing one at a time at this point, can lead to a drug out drama..

I'm not even gonna play around with this my buddy can get me the parts at cost and install them for me. I'm just gonna have him install plugs and COP's on monday

Good deal , I hope he doesn't get beat up to bad when purchasing the COP's .

Just dropped her off. I'll pick her up tomm afternoon. He's replacing the coils and plugs. I told him to go ahead and do the fuel filter also. Hopefully she'll run great when I get her back.

I bet it will be a noticeable difference , make sure to let us know ..I replaced all mine at once and maannnn, what a difference.

Well picked my truck up from my machanic's today and, wow what a difference. She is much more responsive now. I am very pleased with the results.
