If you want good MPG don't buy a full size truck.

i bought my truck to haul my bike and look damn good doing it...
then i lifted it.
i still get 16mpg avg in the summer, i can get up to 19 on the freeway.
guess what?
ITS OLD AND DYING HAHAHAHA! now im workin on a 5.4L with a OEM lightning supercharger, i dont plan on getting 12mpg lol
if you get the gm 5.3L, get the 4.10 gears...i wouldn't even consider that engine with anything taller after my experience, unless i liked my transmission shifting every time a butterfly flapped it's wings on the highway...
If you have to worry about gas mileage. You should not buy $30,000 and $40,000 dollar trucks. You should be able to afford gas for it.I had a chevy 2003 Z71 x-cab,they do not get 20mpg,not even if it feel out of airplane.Any thing with some size to it going to drink gas."Just like a BIG GIRL is going to eat"!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway this guy shouldn't buy a truck if he has to worry about gas that much he should save money for his marriage instead of having a new car!!!!
